画了's mission speaks to a fundamental belief in teen年龄rs; We recognize and honor their innate gifts, talents and curiosity, and strive to develop all of them as they construct a deeper sense of self and purpose. In service of the mission, we are committed to delivering on the three essential aspects of what we believe high school should be:

画了 connects what students learn to what's important to them and how to apply that learning to impact the world in a supportive environment that will not just prepare them for college but will equip them with the skills and competencies required of a 21st century global citizen. Our work around anti-racism, equity and inclusion is central to our focus in building multicultural competencies and empathy to help build a more just world.
社会
画了 becomes a second home for our students where they will explore their independence and feel safe and validated in a welcoming, energetic and diverse community that celebrates their individuality and interests.

It is incredible to be a part of a team of people that are creative, flexible, and resourceful. We support and provide Professional Development. Our mission to "eng年龄 each student in a process of intellectual discovery to develop an individual voice, the confidence to express it, and the empathy to understand its impact" is not limited to only our students. 教师 and staff have regular PD opportunities to expand their repertoires and be supported in their journey towards excellence.

Each one of our faculty serves as an advisor to students to guide them through their four years at 画了. These advisories meet every week as a way of intentionally working towards personal growth, both in and outside of school. -
DEALL
画了 Education for Active Lifelong Learning (DEALL) is an exciting week in the spring semester that students and faculty look forward to throughout the year. 教师 design and lead a week-long program that takes learning outside the four walls of the classroom. These trips can be local or 'abroad' (i.e. Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Boston, etc.) and give teachers an opportunity to explore and share something they are passionate about with a small group of students. This portion of our curriculum encour年龄s both faculty and students to think creatively about what it means to be a Lifelong Learner. 每学期, our faculty work to design Experiential Electives (EEs) to develop different skill sets that are not typically eng年龄d in a standard curriculum.
